Two Weeks In...

Two weeks when it really feels like four? January DRAGS man.

Two weeks into the new year and what have I learnt? THAT JANUARY GOES ON FOREVER. Is it just me? Am I the only one who feels like it's been weeks or is I just doing the most?

It's been exactly 14 days since we transitioned into 2018 and so far one key thing that I've learned is that this is the year of challenging yourself. I've already written down my year plans for 2018 in the form of a vision board as my 2017 vision board spoke VOLUMES. With this year's board, I've included a few things that will challenge me to step out of my comfort zone. One is working on my networking skills. Funny that a girl who works in communications shys away when it comes to networking at corporate events.

This has always been a pet peeve of mine as I know how to socialise and meet new people, but when it comes to networking, talking business and explaining what my job is to strangers just somehow doesn't work well with me. Within the job that I have now, I have opportunities to grow my skills in this so I have no choice but to improve and continue striving to be the best that I can be.

Another big challenge that I want to conquer this year is to travel somewhere on my own. I'm not talking overseas (that will have to be something that is considered next year, keep an eye out). Maybe something like France, or Berlin/Brussels or even Amsterdam again cause lord knows I want to go back. I feel like in order to really travel one must do it alone and personally I'm not scared of doing it, it's just a matter of practicality for me. Maybe this is something that I might do in 2018, but I have major plans for 2019 that could possibly be life-changing so I better pray for the best.

All in all, two weeks into the new year and I feel like I have a new outlook on life. I want to start living for me again, doing things that truly make me happy, challenging myself and also to start walking a lot stronger in my faith. A post about this is coming out soon and I can't wait to share it with you all.

Love čĺŤ.
