March Motivation.

Easter is really around the corner and as we've already entered into the month of March, there are a few things that I need to do in order to motivate myself before I go on Easter break. Let's be honest guys, I've really been sleeping on the job lately and it's not good. I apologise for this failure.

Once Easter is over, university for me will go into overdrive. I have to hand in my photography portfolio & my final photographs for my degree show. Sounds fun doesn't it? I haven't got time for the people who always say that all I do take is pictures for my degree because if it was that easy I'd be chilling now - but in reality, I've got deadlines just like everyone else which does include multiple written pieces of work. Anyway, I got to get my head down because time is ticking and it's not waiting for me sadly. Hopefully, what I've written below will help motivate me to keep on top of my work.

First things first, get rid of that "I'll do it tomorrow" mentality. I won't do it tomorrow or the next day or the day after that. It's usually a week later when I've realised that all my work is beginning to pile up and I'm suffocating and drowning in it all. This goes for blogging also. As a lot of you know I pre-write all of my posts (including this one) just so I'm able to publish weekly as that's my own personal goal for my blog. However, I'm just about keeping up to date with it all. I need to work on this because as much as I love writing, I need to dedicate some time and effort towards it.

Stop procrastinating, it's really getting dumb now. Since Netflix blessed me with another free 30-day trial, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air has been my number one priority and already you can see that I have made a massive mistake by watching this show during my term time at uni. I'm only in 2 days a week (the majority of the time my lectures get cancelled so I usually have the whole week off) and yet what do I spend those days off doing? Certainly not any work, damn. I need to prioritise again and stop laying in bed watching TV because how am I going to get my degree by doing that? Lord help me get through this, please!

Lastly, remember to take each day as it comes, it's okay to have an off day God knows I've had loads. I need to remember that if I don't finish my work in one day IT'S OKAY. There's no need to get stressed out about this and freak out which would be a waste of my time and energy. Trust me I know this on a first-hand basis. Breathe baby girl, you'll get through this - you got this. 3rd year is no joke, it's not easy and letting anything slip now will really and truly ruin my final grade. I need to power through it being as calm as I can be. However difficult it'll be, I'll get it done.
