Be The Change.

"All you can change is yourself, but sometimes that changes everything. Only change yourself if you want to change the world around you."

You wouldn't believe the number of times that I've heard those words in the last few years. Regardless of how many times I've heard them, they still make me want to change many things that went wrong in my life. Change is good and extremely useful to include in your life. To say I've changed over the years is true, I wouldn't stop you. However, I know I've changed for the better, but not all can say the same 👀.

We're not the same people that we were five years ago. Five years ago, I was 16 years old and I didn't have a care in the world. I was excited to start a new chapter of my life in college as I was intrigued as to where that would take me. At that time, I wasn't ready to go to university purely because my priorities were to hang out with my friends and keep up with my studies. Sometimes I do wish that I was very straight-forward with what I wanted back then, but I guarantee if that was the case I wouldn't have learned all the life lessons presented to me since then. Trust me when I say that there has been many.

I love change. I love seeing the adaptation of things take place. We as humans are constantly changing and so is the world around us. The type of change that I'm addressing is our mentality and the way that we approach all situations. As time passes by, each day we are always learning something new and implementing it into our daily routine. I notice something new about myself at least once a week. I was going to overdo it and say everyday, but let me not lie to you guys as that isn't the case. Change is so important however little or big it is, once it changes it makes a huge difference. Take a job for example. Being promoted at your workplace equals a pay rise. Now that change is great as your finances will begin to soar and you can start living comfortably. The opposite of this is being demoted which equals to a pay cut. This kind of change isn't excellent as this can affect your finances and your entire lifestyle.

Change can be good or bad depending on the outcome and what you do with it. If you've been promoted use that change to save for the future and prepare yourself for anything that may come your way. If your circumstances at work end up with you getting demoted, learn to still live comfortably and pick up ways to save all your money to the best of your abilities. Don't think negatively. If the change that you receive is bad, there is always a way to turn this around to make it work best for you. What we all need to take on board is if you want something but it requires more of what you think you can do... make the change that you require and get what you want! No one is stopping you apart from yourself.

YOU are in control of the changes that happens in your life. YOU are the decider of the outcomes from said changes and it's YOU that chooses what choices to make once all these changes take place.

"Be the change that you want to see in the world."
